The Payne residence

This was my first piling home which I designed and built for Robert and Carol Payne in 1996.  It has stood up to all the hurricanes very well.  All the homes around them were destroyed in 2004 during hurricane Ivan.  this home is off Bay street on the sound.  Robert called me 3 days after the storm:

"Thanks so much for building us a strong home. All my neighbors' homes were completely destroyed. We were the only family on our street with a home to come back to. "
