The master bedroom closet is a concrete block and steel reinforced storm shelter engineered to withstand 250 mph winds and 100 mph missile impacts. The armored steel door swings in so they can get out in case debris blocks the door way.
The storm shelter footings are extra wide and have more steel to anchor the room so the house can fall on top of it and it will not move.
